This post I'm going to give you a brief introduction to the Day Courses that I run here in the Learn It Stitch It Studio. 

The courses are designed to accommodate 3 to 4 people and everyone is encouraged to take on a project that can be completed within the course time. Below I'll be showing you some of the most popular makes that I hope might inspire you if you're considering a Day Course in the near or not too distant future. All these projects can practically be made within the time and if you're booking a course with friends or family its great to all make the same thing, but with different materials.

A waistcoat makes a super project where you get to learn lots of different skills and make a really individual garment to your own taste and style. 

2018 has certainly been the year of the Bag project in the Learn It Stitch It Studio...so many beautiful bags have been made with a host of different designs. Whether your inspiration is to make the elusive bag you can't buy in the shop, or you've simply got all the bags in the shops and now you need to make your own...its a really satisfying thing to make...plus you'll have made something totally unique :)

Meet the Cocoon Dress...a really simple pattern, but one that produces a really usable garment that can offer up so many different wardrobe combinations. Believe me when I say that if you make one, you'll want to make another, then another, and very likely, another :)

There is a multitude of craft projects to take on...the table centrepiece is so much fun to make, here's a couple of examples...choose a Christmas material and make a really festive one. The sewing machine cover is a firm favourite in the Studio...just remember to bring your machine with you! :)

And lastly...trousers...lots of skills to be learnt and the result is a tailored pair of trousers just for you. Much like the Cocoon dress and the waistcoat projects, yet again, you can really make something individual and unique; whilst boosting your wardrobe at the same time :)
