Fantastic January

What a fabulous start to the year!  We have had lots of new starters and old hands alike really making themselves proud with what they have achieved.

Jess has really got to grips with her machine, it having sat unused for some time.  After a session of basic skills she has made this lovely sewing room tidy and also a fabulous blind for her kitchen.  All in four sessions!

Charlotte R has also made an excellent start, see below for her 1st project, a bias cut silky vest top.  Sallie and Sue are now making dresses and jackets from the toiles they made and fitted.  Mel and Sara are also beavering away on toiles for their dresses..... watch this space.

The lovely Charlotte has started work on her Mums wedding outfit but is also working hard on her portfolio for her interview at De Montfort University to study underwear design and manufacture.  Fingers crossed and I look forward to helping her make a corset for her portfolio.

I've started my sampler quilt squares.....  here are the first 4.
