Happy New Year

Hello again and happy 2017!  

I've decided this year to start with a flourish.  I have been bought a lovely new quilting book by my niece this Christmas so my aim is to make a sampler quilt.  I am going to make a different square every week and then, with my 50 squares in December make up my quilt.......  Watch this space.

Another new project started for the new year is a hand embroidery  challenge started with some friends.  Every day you doodle on a hoop and by the end of the year you have a very full and complete hoop. Its been great fun updating and expanding my embroidery stitching, lots of inspiration from Pinterest.

Another new development:  My new beast of a machine has been put to good use doing some word art to extend my knowledge of the software and as a reward I have made the machine a smart new cover!  In March I am teaming up with Quilteez of Ratby to run a joint course making items for your work room.  Again, watch this space.

It is a very busy start to the new year and a big 'welcome' to all my new students it's lovely to see you all.  As well as a 'very lovely to see you back' to my fab 2016 returnees.

Keep stitching and keep learning, it will keep us away from the fridge!
