Much a do about March

Well...only a short way into March and there is already lots to share from the Learn It Stitch It Studio. Everyone is busy and some newbies to introduce as well...

One of our Boys Night stalwarts Gabe has completed two huge bean-bags for his children and with beans to spare he made his Wife an iPad cushion as well. The fabrics he used were a complete bargain having sourced them from IKEA in Nottingham. Two very happy children and a very relaxed iPad.

Newbie Tasha joined the Learn It Stitch It studio and by only Lesson 2, had made herself a cushion. Made from a hessian material and finished off with a lovely bright bow made from a cotton fabric. Looking forward to what Tasha creates next.

Jackie K, another newbie, has finished this beautiful dress for her Granddaughter...the fabric Jackie used was an absolute delight, very well chosen.

Sue and Jane took part in one of my Day Courses making Pinafore dresses for themselves using Seasalt fabrics.

Michelle is busy making a jacket with flared skirt attached...a lovely tweed fabric has been chosen; can't wait to see it finished :)

Mymona is making a dress for her Niece in Canada - another lovely fabric being used :)

I have been going a bit bag making crazy...here are the first lot of creations...I made a leather bag that actually works out as a great case for my laptop and the grey bag made from boiled wool is a prequel to a leather version of the same bag I want to make. The big red ruck-sack you can see was made from curtain/upholstery fabrics. The other ruck-sack was made from an off-cut I had in the Studio and the Polka Dot is a Japanese Knot Bag - a deceptively spacious and clever design. Lots more leather work to share with you next time. If you're interested in a bag-making day course let me know;    http://learnitstitchit.co.uk/c...

Thank you for dropping by...catch up soon.

Best Wishes
