Hello...here's a bit of an update from the Learn It Stitch It Studio...:)
Well...to kick off this latest update here's an amazing make to leave the Studio this month...Ian, one of our Wednesday evening stalwarts, made this rather super guitar case for his daughter. He even lined it with an Orla Kiely designed fabric. This case was a first for the Studio and certainly one of the most complex projects undertaken by a Learn It Stitch It student. Well done Ian...amazing work :)
Staying with the Wednesday night Boys...Gabe has been busy making some gifts, a Lego inspired cushion for his daughter on her birthday and a work apron for a friend that's just retired and looking forward to plenty of shed time. Both gifts have been very well received :)
And no Wednesday night Boys update would be complete without seeing the latest makes from Tim...here you can see he's been busy turning his hand to some free-motion embroidery to make these gorgeous greeting cards.
Angela has up-cycled a shirt to make this lovely dress for her granddaughter.
Kay has started another epic dresden quilt...
Newcomer Elaine is also undertaking a quilting project...
Another first for the Learn It Stitch It Studio is Mum, Dad, Sister and bride-to-be Amy forming a team to make a wedding dress for Amy's special day. A toile has already been cut-out and fitted...more updates to follow soon :)
I had a short break to Yorkshire and took the opportunity to wear one of my newly made hoodies...and never too far away from the world of sewing...I found a great dress pattern while I was away. Now made into the two dresses using twin-needling, with some new fabrics also purchased while I was away.
Keep stitching...Naomi x
