Welcome to Learn it Stitch it!

Hello and welcome to Learn it Stitch it. I am a very keen dressmaker and teacher and having taught in schools I am now keen to teach some more engaged learners! I have loved teaching all my life and also love to sew. What I am less good at is blogging! This is a step learning curve for me, along with twitter and Facebook but I am keen to show what is happening in my workshop on a weekly basis so if your interested, come and join us........

I was first trained in period costume cutting and then had my own business, making wedding dresses. I was based in Loughborough in Leicestershire and traded as Bumbleweeds, a family nickname. If you had your dress made with me, please get in touch. I made over 200 dresses so there are a few of you out there!

I then taught at two local schools before moving on to a new country and then running a B&B but I always kept sewing and returned to teaching in Cardiff. Now I'm back in Leicestershire and all set up on my new venture. SO if your keen to learn anything: dressmaking, curtain making or even a children's wigwam (watch this space) give me a call and come along.
