Well it has been a blowy start to the year but Charlotte, Katie and I took the worst of the Sundays to really crack on with some projects. Charlotte has made a fantastic corset and Katie has been busy making quilts for her expectant friends, watch this space for the completed project. She has used the embroidery machine to add some hearts, names and is going to add birth weights and dates. What a fabulous gift for a new mum.
Sallie and Sue continue to brighten up my Monday afternoons with some fantastic projects. Sallie has made this wonderful linen jacket and also a woollen, lined coat. Sue had perfected her dress and made a couple of work outfits with matching scarfs. Then on to PJ bottoms and curtain shortening..... What will she do next?
I have been quite busy myself preparing some new day courses. I have one making Easter table decorations coming up. Lots of repeating the same thing, very easy and lots of time to chat!
The second course I have prepared is to make your sewing machine cosy! It covers it and protects it when not in use. It has a handle hole for carrying it about and becomes a sewing mat when sewing, with thread catcher and pin cushion. A lovely addition to any sewing room and easily redesigned for your own needs.....
I haven't forgotten the sampler quilt........ This months squares.
Well have a wonderful stiching March and catch up soon....
